Fees
Fees are reviewed annually at the AGM in September and are payable a half term in advance. We do not offer any refunds for absences due to sickness or holidays. In cases of prolonged absence, parents should consult the committee about fee payment. Each child’s attendance at the group is conditional upon continued payment of any necessary fees and/or local government funding.
Fund Raising
We are a self-supporting group and a registered charity. Our fees cover only basic running costs i.e. rent, wages and insurance. We are, therefore, constantly looking for ways to raise extra money for new equipment, toys etc.
Decision Making
The pre-school is run by an elected committee, which ensures that any major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. The committee are responsible for reviewing both policy and practise, and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff. There are three named positions on the committee; Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, and a maximum of nine other members, but we need all our parents to be involved. We value your ideas and help in whatever way we can give it.
The AGM is held in the autumn and it is a requirement of the pre-school that parents attend this meeting. Written apologies should be sent in, if circumstances do not allow you to attend . |
