A New Approach to Security And Usability
Huge growth in the internet as a vehicle for business critical communication,

Identity-Based Encryption
Invented by Dr. Dan Boneh and Dr. Matt Franklin in 2001, Identity-Based
Encryption or IBE, is a breakthrough in cryptography that, for the
first time, enables users to simply use an identity, such as an
email address, to secure business communication. Moreover, unlike
existing security solutions, this business communication can be
conducted online as well as offline, from anywhere in the world,
without the complexity of certificates, Certificate Revocation Lists
(CRLs) and other costly infrastructure. The practical application
of IBE results in a solution that is easy to implement and easy
to manage, without the overhead and cost inherent in traditional
security solutions. The scalability of the IBE approach means that,
for the first time, companies can communicate securely with their
clients, opening up new business opportunities, better customer
service and, most importantly, differentiated competitive advantage.
